One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Coggled Fish-and-Berries Motif, Stamped "WINE", attributed to Branch Green, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1810's, ovoid jug with tooled spout, the shoulder featuring the impressed word, "WINE", and decorated with a coggled design of fish and berries, brushed over in cobalt slip. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a 3 1/4" faint Y-shaped line ascending from base on reverse, probably in-the-firing.
