Stoneware Butter Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, cylindrical crock with footed base, squared rim, and applied tab handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt tulip design on the front and reverse. Spidering hairlines on underside, one of which extends 2" up base of crock. Chips to one handle. A minor chip to end of opposite handle. A few shallow rim chips. An inverted U-shaped line in rim only. H 4 1/2" ; Diameter 8".
