Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars with Virginia Advertising, attributed to A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV, circa 1880, both of cylindrical form, a one-and-a-half-gallon jar, stenciled "Wm. KINNIER & CO. / LYNCHBURG, Va.", paired with a one-gallon jar, stenciled "LIPSCOMB & / SOMERVILLE. / STAUNTON, Va.". Lynchburg jar with light wear to surface as well as a 3" diagonal line from rim on reverse. Staunton jar with staining and tight throughout lines on underside, one of which extends 2 3/4" onto base on front, where it forms a Y.
