Three Pieces of Southern Stoneware, American, late 19th or early 20th century, a sewer tile pitcher with incised brick pattern, attributed to Rufus Rogers, Meansville, GA, second quarter 20th century; a one-gallon alkaline-glazed jug with rutile, attributed to the Hickory, NC area; and a half-gallon jug, North Carolina origin. Provenance: The Stradlings; pitcher purchased from John Burrison, 2 January 1974; both jugs purchased from Mary Francis Berrier, Yadkinville, NC, 6 January 1975. Pitcher with some rim chips. One-gallon jug with restored handle. Half-gallon jug with in-the-firing bloating and large recessed area to one side. H (of pitcher) 9 3/8".
