Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Stenciled Eagle Decoration, Stenciled "A.P. DONAGHHO / PARKERSBURG, W. VA.", circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated with a stenciled design of a Federal eagle with shield, holding an olive branch and arrows in its talons. A.P. Donaghho maker's stenciling above. Two chips to interior of rim. Restoration to a long crack to base area, including area below decoration. A 3" surface line to shoulder area, not visible on interior. A 1 1/2" line from rim, a small part of which is visible on interior.
