Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Flask, Northeastern U.S. origin, early 19th century, with flattened sides and semi-squared spout highlighted in dark cobalt slip. Underside incised with a large asterisk. Provenance: Property of a New York State collector. A long hairline extending from shoulder on one side to midsection on reverse. Wear to mouth. H 8 1/4".
