Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Flask, Northeastern U.S. origin, early 19th century, flattened form with tooled spout, decorated with strong cobalt around the mouth. Provenance: Property of a New York State collector. As-made condition with a large, smooth in-the-firing contact mark to one side, which is lightly glazed. H 8".
