Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Incised Floral Decoration, probably Manhattan, NY, possibly Crolius Family, first quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with footed base, tooled shoulder, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with two different incised and cobalt-highlighted floral designs. Cobalt decoration to handle terminals, three of which feature brushed tassel-shaped designs. A 1 1/4" base chip and numerous small chips to base. Some tight surface lines to one side, probably in-the-firing and not visible on interior.
