Very Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Flask, Stamped "C. CROLIUS, / MANUFACTURER, / NEW-YORK," Manhattan, NY origin, early 19th century, wheel-thrown flask with flattened sides and tooled spout highlighted in cobalt. Base impressed with Clarkson Crolius, Sr. maker's mark. Exceptional form. The only signed Crolius stoneware flask we have ever offered. Provenance: Property of a New York State collector. Crack in underside, continuing 4 1/2" up front of flask. Small base nick. H 7".
