Glazed Redware Jar, Maine origin, circa 1840, small-sized jar with tapered sides, heavily-tooled shoulder, and narrow mouth with semi-rounded rim, the surface covered in a streaky cream-colored glaze over a salmon ground. Desirable size and color. Wear to interior and exterior of rim. Two small in-the-firing flaws to surface. A few very minor, tiny flakes to surface. Exfoliation to interior. A series of in-the-making vertical scratches to side of jar. H 6".
