Fine and Scarce Stoneware Canning Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Decoration, Stenciled "From Samuel Cooper / No. 7 / Diamond / Pittsburgh", PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded wax sealer rim, featuring Samuel Cooper merchant stenciling with six straight and wavy freehand stripes above and below. Chips to interior of rim and inner wax sealer rim. H 8 3/8".
