Two Pieces of Hartford CT Stoneware with Cobalt Decoration, early 19th century, a one-gallon ovoid jar, impressed "P. CROSS / HARTFORD", paired with a two-gallon churn, stamped "GOODWIN & WEBSTER". Both with cobalt highlights to the maker's mark and handle terminals. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market lot, purchased by the consignor decades ago. Cross jar with cracks and rim chips. Goodwin & Webster churn with significant sealed cracks, base chips, rim, chips, and chips to inner rim, which would hold a lid.
