Scarce Three-Gallon Double-Handled Stoneware Jug with Alkaline Glaze, Stamped "JHL", John H. Long, Crawford County, GA origin, late 19th century, cylindrical jug with two applied open handles at the shoulder, the surface covered in a streaked dark-olive alkaline glaze. Impressed "JHL" on top of one handle. Desirable form. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
