Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Star Decoration, attributed to Egbert Schoonmaker, Kingston or Manhattan, NY, early 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and open loop handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a central star motif, flanked by two crosses. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. One rim chip. One base chip. A 4 3/4" line on underside, continuing onto base area, where it forms a Y.
