Rare Double-Handled Stoneware Jug with Alkaline Glaze, Stamped "WB", Washington Becham, Crawford County, GA, second half 19th century, ovoid jug with slightly-flared spout and applied handles at the shoulder, covered in a streaky olive-green and brown alkaline glaze. Impressed on top of one handle with the initials, "WB", for Crawford County, Georgia potter, Washington Becham. Exceptional form. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Very nice condition with a spout chip, a spout nick, and a nick to one handle. H 14 1/2".
