Rare Miniature Molded Stoneware Cuspidor, Stamped "F.B. NORTONS SONS. / WORCESTER. MASS.", circa 1875, with flared rim and raised surface resembling tree bark, the body featuring a relief oak leaf and acorn motif. Surface covered in a brown Albany slip glaze with cold-painted gold highlights to relief decoration and rim. Unglazed underside with "F.B. NORTONS SONS" maker's mark. Provenance: The Stradlings. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 3 1/2" ; W (at opening) 3 1 1/16".
