Fine Small-Sized Glazed Redware Jug, Maine origin, early 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base, narrow spout, and very thin, heavily-ribbed handle, the surface covered in a cream-colored glaze over a salmon ground. Excellent size. The delicate execution of the handle is noteworthy. Two minor chips and a small in-the-firing contact mark to handle. A small in-the-firing contact mark to side of jug near base. A base chip and minor base nick. H 6".
