Scarce Miniature Glazed Redware Jug, New England origin, possibly Bristol County, MA, early to mid 19th century, small-sized ovoid jug with rounded foot and ribbed handle, decorated cream-colored slip and daubs of manganese under a clear lead glaze. Attractive green, orange, cream, and brown coloration. Desirable size. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Wear to rim. Light wear to handle. Small spots and thin separations where glaze separated on jug's surface. H 4".
