Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "I. SEYMOUR / TROY FACTORY", New York State origin, circa 1830, highly-ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a finely-brushed design of three tulips emanating from a central stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Jug still holds old contents, adding to its weight. Excellent condition with some staining to upper portion of jug and two minor in-the-firing nicks to base.
