Rare Miniature Stoneware Jug with Incised Anchor Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, early 19th century, ovoid jug with tooled spout, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted design of an anchor entwined in rope. Light cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Incised "H" on underside. Handle and section of reverse side of spout broken and reglued. A chip along one break in handle. An iron ping to shoulder on reverse. H 3".
