Rare One-Quart Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Flower Basket Decoration, Inscribed "qt jug", New York State origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jug with tapered spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flowering plant emanating from a stylized urn. The slip-trailed inscription, "qt jug", appears to the right of the decoration, underscored by looping lines. Rare size and strong decoration. Jug was broken into two pieces and reglued. H 8".
