Scarce Small-Sized Lidded Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1840, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated on one side with two conjoined tulips and on the reverse with a leaf. Includes original salt-glazed stoneware lid with recessed top. Jar in strong overall condition with in-the-firing chips / contact marks to underside and a 3/4" in-the-firing line from rim. Chips to lid. H (including lid) 5 3/8".
