One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Impressed Floral Decoraton, attributed to Jonathan Fenton, Boston, MA, circa 1795, ovoid jar with footed base, flared rim, and open loop handles, decorated on the front and reverse with an impressed and cobalt-highlighted design of a flower. Additional brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A small chip to top of rim and a tiny chip to exterior of rim. A minor, 1 1/8" in-the-firing, horizontal line to foot.
