Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, Huntington, NY origin, circa 1840, with coggled edge, decorated in yellow slip with an impressed star motif flanked by scrolled trails. Provenance: A fresh-to-the-market example, eighty-year private collection. Some knife marks and a small surface flake to interior. Typical light wear to rim. Diameter 9 1/4".
