Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "HAXSTUN & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.", circa 1880, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a stylized branch. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
