Unusual Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Stew Pot, attributed to Dave, Lewis Miles Stoney Bluff Manufactory, Edgefield District, SC, circa 1860, rotund jar with applied handle and heavy tooling to shoulder and rim, the surface covered in light-green alkaline glaze. Professionally-restored handle. Professional restoration to rim. Tight cracks to body. Significant damage to surface of underside and bottom edge. H 7 3/4".
