Glazed Redware Ale Mug, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'", PA origin, circa 1850-1880, ovoid mug with footed base and tall collar, the surface decorated with heavily-sponged manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed with "John Bell" maker's mark on collar. A few base chips, the largest measuring 1 1/4". Small chips and wear to rim. Light wear to surface. H 6 3/4".
