Two Pieces of Western PA Stoneware, circa 1875, a three-gallon stoneware jar with stenciled rose motifs above and below the stenciled signature, "JAS. HAMILTON & Co. / GREENSBORO, / PA"; paired with a two-gallon jar with stenciled flourishes, stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES / GREENSBORO, / PA.". Three-gallon jar with a 5 1/4" in-the-firing line at base, connecting to a series of hairlines on underside, a 2 3/4" Y-shaped line under one handle, two shallow chips to one handle, and some traces of paint to surface. Two-gallon jar with a long, thin crack on right side of front, continuing a short distance onto underside, as well light wear around midsection, and a chip and minor nick to interior of rim.
