Scarce Salt-Glazed Stoneware Bottle, Stamped "C. CROLIUS, / MANUFACTURER, / NEW-YORK", early 19th century, cylindrical bottle with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded mouth, impressed with Clarkson Crolius, Sr. maker's mark. While highly-utilitarian in nature, signed Crolius bottles are considered scarce. Majority of cylindrical portion of bottle and underside is painted, indicating significant restoration. One small base chip. H 8 1/2".
