Two Glazed Redware Jars, Galena, IL origin, second half 19th century, both of cylindrical form with tooled shoulders and semi-rounded rims, each covered in a clear lead glaze. Jars feature mottled orange exteriors accented with heavy iron flecking and solid yellow interiors. One jar with some light exfoliation to underside, minor nicks to base, a small rim flake, and a 2 3/8" inverted Y-shaped crack from rim. Other jar with flaking to exterior, have glaze loss to interior base, base chips, and a 1" hairline from rim. H (of each) approx. 7 3/8".
