One-and-a-Half-Gallon Spongeware Pitcher, American, late 19th or early 20th century, ovoid pitcher with tooled midsection, the surface covered in Bristol slip and decorated with heavy cobalt sponging. A thin, shallow 1" chip on interior of rim, adjacent to a 3/4" glazed-over chip on exterior of rim. Other minor rim wear. A 5" crack from on right side of pitcher. Two in-the-firing contact marks. H 11 1/4".
