Rare Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "J. McKENZIE", Beaver, PA, mid 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, featuring a draped vine motif applied over slip-washed clay. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark, capacity mark, and handle terminals. A faint, minor line on underside. A 4 1/2" hairline from rim on far right side of jar's front. A 5" inverted Y-shaped line from rim on reverse.
