Two Pieces of Western PA Stoneware, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, decorated with a graduated swag design along with a freehand stripe at base, paired with a canning jar with freehand swag motif between two freehand stripes. A nice pair, decorated by the same hand, with nearly identical designs. A small, in-the-firing chip to spout and handle of jug, and some faint spider lines to base. Jar with two shallow chips to inner wax sealer rim. H (of jug) 10".
