Fine Glazed Redware Flowerpot with Mocha Seaweed Decoration, Pennsylvania origin, circa 1840-1880, tapered pot with footed base and tooled rim, decorated with large manganese seaweed designs in the English mocha style, interspersed with copper spots, and applied over a cream-colored slip. Exterior surface covered in a clear lead glaze. Excellent decoration. Wear and shallow chips to rim. A 2 3/4" hairline from rim and a 1 1/4" hairline from rim. Base chips. H 6 1/4" ; Diameter 7 1/4".
