Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stamped "N. CLARK / PARKERSBURG, VA", circa 1850, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, impressed with N. CLARK / PARKERSBURG, VA" mark at shoulder. Clark's work in Parkersburg pre-dates the establishment of West Virginia during the Civil War era. Excellent condition with two minor base nicks, a minor shoulder nick, a small nick on interior of rim, and an in-the-firing chip on top of rim with a 1" surface line descending from it.
