Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Samuel Irvine, Newville, PA, circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a brushed design of a tulip plant bearing two blossoms. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Crazing to left side of jug, continuing onto underside. Additional short lines at base elsewhere.
