Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Pennsylvania origin, circa 1860, narrow, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated with a boldly-brushed tulip flanked by four groups of graduated swags. A well-decorated example, the maker of which is currently unknown. Very nice condition with a long, faint hairline to base, some crazing to underside, and a minor nick to interior of rim.
