Two One-Gallon Stoneware Jars with Cobalt Foliate Decorations, Stamped "R.C.R. / PHILA.", Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA origin, circa 1875, both of cylindrical form, one with conjoined, angled leaves around the shoulder, the other with large leaves around the shoulder. Both impressed with "R.C.R. / PHILA." marks at base. Jar with angled leaves has a 5/8" rim chip and other shallow chipping to rim. Jar with large leaves had rim chips, fry to cobalt, and some light water glass staining.
