Unusual Five-Gallon Double-Handled Stoneware Jug with Broadway, NY Advertising, New York State origin, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jug with tall spout and open loop handles, featuring the slip-trailed advertising "James M. Bell & Co. / in Merchants / 31 Broadway N.Y". Desirable size, form, and New York City advertising. Includes antique wooden stopper. One handle restored. Areas of light wear to cobalt. A 3" hairline to shoulder on reverse. H 18 1/2".
