Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Rabbit Decoration, Stamped "NORTON & FENTON / East Bennington, Vt", circa 1845, cylindrical jug with squared spout, decorated with a brushed design of a leaping rabbit above a flowering vine. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Some light exfoliation to left side of jug. Some small flakes to shoulder. Several short lines at base. Some short, faint lines where handle meets jug. A small flake to top of handle. An in-the-firing contact mark to front. Some discoloration to jug.
