Framed J. & E. NORTON, BENNINGTON STONE-WARE POTTERY Price List, Dated August 14, 1851, includes a printed illustration of the pottery building with horse and carriage carrying pottery in the foreground. Price list reads "Bought of J. & E. NORTON, / MANUFACTURERS OF EVERY DESCRIPTION ON STONE-WARE:" and follows with a listing of various stoneware forms and prices. Handwritten notations at base include the words "out! Urn shapd. Ornamented Water Fountain 4 Gall". The price list is addressed to the merchants "P. Whitin & Sons" of Whitinsville, MA. A number of pieces made at the J. & E. Norton Pottery and impressed with Whitin advertising have survived, including a two-gallon crock with deer decoration offered in this auction. Typical fold marks. Light soiling to left side of price list. Framed Dimensions: 19 1/2" x 13 1/2".
