Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Stripe Decoration, Stenciled "NEW GENEVA POTTERY", PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooling to body and shoulder and pronounced rim with wax sealer interior, the front decorated with diagonal "NEW GENEVA POTTERY" stenciling flanked by wavy stripes. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a thin sliver of clay adhered to underside and some shallow in-the-firing chipping to underside along edge. H 8 1/4".
