Rare Slip-Decorated Redware Loaf Dish, Pennsylvania origin, circa 1820-1840, with coggled edge, decorated in yellowish-orange slip with a rare cross-hatched design flanked by wavy banding. Excellent decoration. Loss to two trails of slip on interior, measuring 1 1/2" and 1 1/8". Other minor wear to interior. A shallow 1 1/4" chip to one corner. A few small shallow chips to outer edge. L 15 1/4" ; W 11".
