Rare Copper-Decorated Redware Butter Crock, attributed to the Lawrence Pottery, Beverly, MA, circa 1870, low-walled, cylindrical form with rounded rim, the surface profusely-decorated with green copper daubs over a lightly-slip-washed ground with clear lead overglaze. Excellent form and decoration. This butter crock survives in remarkable, essentially as-made condition. H 3 3/4" ; Diameter 8 1/8".
