Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug with Rock Teeth, Signed "Lanier Meaders", Cleveland, GA origin, third quarter 20th century, ovoid jug with hand-modeled and applied face featuring kaolin eyes, quartz teeth, and rippled ears with piercings. Face assumes a smiling expression, with the pinched sides of the jug forming dimples. Incised on underside "Lanier Meaders". Excellent, as-made condition. H 10 1/4".
