Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, New York State or New England origin, circa 1830, highly-ovoid jug with tooled spout and heavily-ribbed handle, decorated with a large brushed tulip extending from a curved stem. Cracks in underside, extending onto base in two places. A few shallow chips to top of spout. Cobalt highlight to lower handle terminal. Flecks on white paint to surface.
