Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stamped "PAUL : CUSHMANS", Paul Cushman, Albany, NY, circa 1815, squat-shaped, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, tall collar, and applied lug handles, featuring the large coggled signature of Paul Cushman extending across the midsection. Desirable short, wide body form. An inverted 8" Y-shaped crack from rim. A shallow 1 1/4" glazed-over rim chip. Shallow base chips. Some staining. H 11".
