Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Midwestern origin, circa 1850, ovoid jug with short, semi-squared spout, decorated with a large brushed flower with heavily-leafed stem. Brushed cobalt highlight to capacity mark. Good form, decoration, and color. A long, shallow in-the-firing chip to top edge of spout.
