One-Gallon Stoneware Cake Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled rim molding and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed tulip and leaf motif. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A top-to-bottom crack from rim, extending 2" onto underside. A thin 3" diagonal crack from rim. A handle chip. Rim chips. A shallow chip to underside at edge.
