Scarce Four-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "KELIN & HARBAUGH", Beaver, PA origin, circa 1870, highly-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, flattened rim, and large lug handles, decorated with a brushed design of two tulips emanating from a central stem. Brushed cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Excellent form. Large star-shaped line on right side of jar's front. Faint 5" Y-shaped line on left side of jar. A small piece of kiln furniture adhered to one handle. Minor wear to end of same handle.
